I spent an incredible weekend in Keji with three of my nearest and dearest. We completed the Channel Lake Loop. Stay tuned for a full update on that.

Multiple times over the weekend, I thought to myself, this is me living my ideal life. This is me putting my priorities at the forefront. We had tough moments, I’ve got a few aches and pains but it pales in comparison to the sense of pride and accomplishment and joy I have in what we did.
.
This is a Monday morning wake up call to stop putting what you dream about on hold. Incorporate as much of it as you can into your life now. Don’t put it off till you pay off your debt, retire, get married, get divorced – whatever your condition is.
.
Get started now. Four months, one year, ten years from now you will be so grateful that you did.

There’s always a way

I’ve been in a funk all evening. .
Moments ago, I was piling freshly folded bedding into my arms to bring upstairs and put away. And I felt my sore abs.
.
Instantly I felt grateful that for the past two mornings when instead of hitting snooze I got up and worked out.
And instead of letting my bum foot stop me, I figured out ways to exercise while sitting in a chair and lying on the floor.
.
It’s a reminder that I can always find a way when something matters. That I can always find a reason to see things differently and shift my mood and my perspective.
.

What’s Important

I can tell you exactly what is important to you.
.
Just let me look at your bank account to see what you spend money on.
Let me see your calendar to see what you spend your time on.
Let me see your Google search history to see what you are looking for.

If you take a hard look at those three things what sort of picture does it paint?
.
Are you living your priorities?
Are you using major resources to do and be what’s important to you.
.
If you aren’t, why not?
What is stopping you?
Can you jiggle things around a bit to focus a little more on your priorities?
.
If it’s important to you, you’ll find a way. if it’s not, you’ll find an excuse.
.
Any forward movement counts.

What could go right?

What are you afraid of happening?

Fear of judgement?
.
Fear of failure?

Fear of being wrong?

Making a mistake?
.
The truth is that people are going to judge you no matter what you do. It is honestly unbelievable what some people will take as offensive.
.
Guess what? That has EVERYTHING to do with them and NOTHING to do with you.
It’s what scares them.
It’s what offends them.
It’s what their experience has been in life.
.
It doesn’t make that true for you.
.
Name your fears.
Get to know the Big Bad Wolf that’s in your head.
Ask yourself is this fear ultimately true? It is inherently valid? Does it always work out this one in every single case? .
Sometimes your fear is valid and your respect your ability to asses risk well.
.
A lot of the time, your fear is unfounded. It’s based on what you’ve been taught to believe by well meaning people, by yourself. It’s based on keeping you safe, preventing loss and protecting yourself.
.
By knowing your fears around what you want in life, you can accurately and truthfully assess them. You can weigh the costs in your life.
.
When those fears come up, questions them.
Then Ask yourself: If everything went right, how would things work out?
Don’t be afraid to go with your gut answer.
.
Trust what excites you.
Trust what feels like growth and expansion.
Trust your judgement over the judgement of others.
.

Acknowledging good in your life is important. Most days it’s a simple practise but on the bad days, the heartbreaking days, the ‘I don’t think I can go in days’ it can be a lifesaver.
.
Choosing gratitude.
Allowing room for the hard stuff but not letting it overwhelm.
All feelings need to be felt but we don’t need to give lots of energy to what doesn’t serve us.
Gratitude is a way to shift out of negativity, despair and heartbreak.
.
You are strong and resilient. You can face anything. You can remain soft and open. You don’t need to be hard and closed off when facing challenges.
.
I believe in you.
I love you.

Destined

How are you feeling this Monday?
.
Intentional?
Aligned?
On purpose?
.
That’s how I’m feeling.
I went to bed at 9.30pm so I could get up at 4.30am to make sure I get in my daily personal priorities.
.
I met a friend for a walk.
I made a healthy lunch.
I wrote in my journal and got my mindset in the right place.
.
I feel fantastic!
I feel ready to take on the day.
I feel like I’m winning at life.
I feel like I am on track to achieving my goals and dreams.
.
Don’t think to yourself ‘Well I’m just not like her. I don’t have as much drive as she does.’
Because this doesn’t come naturally for me. I wasn’t just born this way.
.
I chose to get really clear on what was important to me in my life and to take daily action to live as close to those ideals as I could.
.
My process for doing that is:
– building myself up through journaling
-to remind myself of the beliefs and values that I want to live by
-deciding to find a way no matter what comes up
-deciding to be committed to this process no matter how long it takes.
.

Fall Yoga

I started teaching yoga and I share my experiences, truths and beliefs gently through my classes. I love in person classes, trainings, retreats and workshops.

It all started with me going after what I wanted. Believing I could achieve it and taking action to realize those dreams and show up in life as a woman who accomplishes them.
